A Night of Networking & Music
Irish Business Network Brazil are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our third event of the year this coming July 19th in BrewYo, in São Paulo. Kicking off at 19:30, we will be joined by guest speaker, and Co-Founder and President of Thronus Medical Inc., Kieran Halpin. Followed by a networking session and Irish music by Claudio Crow.
Kieran Halpin, Co-Founder & President, Thronus Medical
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Kieran was deeply influenced by his father from Dublin, who instilled in him a strong sense of independence, pride in his Irish heritage, and the courage to stand up for what he believes in. This mindset laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial spirit — he founded his first business at just fourteen.
Today, as President of Thronus Medical Inc., an international pharmaceutical company focused on phytotherapeutics, Kieran is helping to transform the lives of patients and families affected by serious neurological diseases.
He now spends much of his time in Brazil, the home country of his wife, Mariana Maciel. With two children of his own, Ray and Sally, Kieran hopes to pass on the same lessons his father gave him: to question authority and stay politically engaged, knowing the high price of ignoring it.

Irish music by Claudio Crow
Hailing from Brazil, Claudio discovered his love of Irish culture early in his teens. This love eventually brought him to Ireland in 1996, the first of many visits. In these formative years he began delving deep into Irish literature, music, myths, and legends, which inspired him to write two books, A Religião da Grande Deusa and O Livro da Mitologia Celta, in the early 2000’s.
Having lived and breathed Irish culture for over ten years, he then turned his attention to sharing his passion with his fellow Brazilians, leading groups on yearly trips around Ireland’s sacred and historical sites.
Like Irish culture, music runs through his veins, and it didn’t take long for these two worlds to collide. Swapping hard rock for Irish trad, Claudio launched a solo musical venture before bringing his skills, knowledge, and passion to Fianna Irish Music, a staple of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations around São Paulo for over ten years.
Claudio has become a well-known figure in both the Irish music scene, as well as within the broader Irish community in Brazil.
